The Church is not Obsolete
If you find you are a victim of church skepticism you are not alone. The church is not obsolete, nor is it outdated and most likely, you and many others have been somewhat disillusioned. One reason for the disillusion may be unfortunate, well-meaning practices in churches. Some may view people as the problem because they closely observe the mistakes human beings make, even those who attend church regularly. You should know church is for your growth, and yours alone.
Unfortunately, certain church practices (legalistic, not Biblical) may be outdated. Those practices may eventually diminish the enthusiasm of attending church for many however; the church is still important, and consequently you are important to the church.
To find out why, I invite you to download and listen to the FREE audiocast Living Stones-Jesus Addresses the Church for a limited time. In it you will understand why the church is not obsolete and how important you are to the church today.
We Are Living Stones
I am glad I attend a church filled with people I can call my second family. We are living stones,
(1 Peter2:4-6). It comforts me to know there is a leader (pastor) of my church who teaches and preaches the Bible. My pastor is on call day and night for all who need prayer, support, and condolence. He also manages church operations. As a result, I am assured I have someone to turn to when in need while others are not there. This too, proves that the church is not obsolete. Therefore, I encourage you to become part of a church family for support. In the long run, you will not regret it.
Above all, when it comes to making a personal decision about church you owe it to yourself to know more. Why not become a living stone in church with Jesus as the cornerstone, and find out for yourself?
Church Appeal
If church is not a part of your life, please consider it. True church members know church gives you a wonderful feeling that increases faith, and peace. We do not believe it is an overrated idea that has harmed and led many to fear something that is not there, or real. We simply trust and believe in God and because of that, we have hope.
In church you will come to know God and who God really is. You discover the Bible is an exciting book to read, and you will learn that attending church does not isolate you. Church lovingly embraces you. There have been, of course, mistakes made, and as a result, church attendance might slow down. Keep in mind mistakes happen everywhere, in all areas. So come on, give church a try.
While listening to the audiocast you will hear how church started and has evolved to the present.
For instance, you will uncover the beginnings of the church through Biblical scriptures and history. Furthermore, you will picture how Paul struggled to establish the first church as God intended, and above all, hear how important you and others are to the church because we are the church (living stones).
